Funky Friends Factory - Sue the Squirrel

This sweet little squirrel is named after Sue — a.k.a. Suraliyama — one of the lovely sewists Funky Friends Factory met in India while visiting Bluemango. The cutest Indian squirrel lives there, which the locals call an “aneel”, and it looked like a toy design just begging to be made.

This pattern has some small pieces, so it isn’t one for a beginner toy maker — start with one of Funky Friends Factory’s easier patterns instead. Recommended fabrics: quilting cottons, or minky, cuddle or even fake fur, especially for the tail, to give your squirrel a fun fluffy look.
